1962 – 1963

Hasler AG erects its business premises in Frutigen

1963

Opening of the factory with assembly and bar-turning shops. Production of components for telephone switchboards, cash registers, teleprinters, franking machines, railway devices

1970

Expansion building for the bar-turning department

1983

Technological change brings about more microprocessors instead of relays. Adaptation of the assembly shop

1984

New Hasler products: automatic folding and enveloping machines, control systems/gyroscopes

1987

Hasler AG, Autophon AG and Zellweger AG merge to form the communications group Ascom AG

1991

All metalworking activities from the Ascom factory Bodenweid (Bern) are relocated to Frutigen

1993

Wandfluh Holding AG purchases the Ascom factory in Frutigen and saves 50 jobs

Ascom AG changes its strategy, selling off its metalworking operations

Name change to Wandfluh Produktions AG, creating an independent subsidiary of Wandfluh Holding AG

1994

Certification according to ISO 9002 as Wandfluh Produktions AG

1994 – 1996

Wandfluh Holding AG adapts its strategy and makes major investments in ultra-modern machinery. Alongside Ascom as its largest customer, the customer base is steadily expanded through systematic acquisition activities

2002

Ascom withdraws from the Paysys and Mailsys business units and sells them abroad. The original core business of Wandfluh Produktions AG is thus reduced to spare parts activities only

Expansion of our production capacity by 50 % by increasing building

2004

Entry into the medical technology sector, production of orthopaedic components.

Entry into the United States market
